According to IMDB: &#8216;Follows Joy, a train-wreck on an adventure who is ready to give away her new-born baby. Joined by a cheeky street urchin, they are two diamonds in the rough on the run.&#8217; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s Stephen&#8217;s comment after the film&#8217;s brief foray into Cineworld: &#8216;With Olivia Colman starring, one would have expected\u00a0<em>Joyride<\/em>\u00a0to be worth seeing, but once it opened and a few critics saw it, the reasons it was few became clear!&#8217; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weirdly, there don&#8217;t even seem to be any publicity stills online. Why does this film not look like a winner? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Memo to film industry: other actresses are available, some of them Irish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-guildhall\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gloucesterguildhall.co.uk\/live-events?category=FILM\">The Guildhall<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Isn&#8217;t it closed for refurbishment or something? The website is blank, which is a statement of a sort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-sherborne\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sherbornecinema.co.uk\/programme\">The Sherborne<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Minions<\/em>, <em>Railway Children<\/em>, <em>Leo Grande<\/em> and then <em>Crawdads<\/em> from Friday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-cineworlds\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/cinemas\/cheltenham\/069#\/buy-tickets-by-cinema?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2021-10-01&amp;view-mode=list\" target=\"_blank\">The Cineworlds<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing new except <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/bullet_train_2022\">Bullet Train<\/a>, a comedy-thriller in which a group of assassins, led by Brad Pitt, are on one of those pointy rapid-transport vehicles and all sorts of predictable mayhem takes place. It gets a 55 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tivolicinemas.com\/whats-on\">The Tivoli<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amusingly, someone has been through my website and removed all the reviews of films at The Tivoli since 9 June. I&#8217;m not pointing any fingers until I find out who did it. But then, to coin a phrase, There Will Be Consequences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the meantime, if you like films, go somewhere better and cheaper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Roses Nothing of note.
