There is also the bold commitment to showing the Academy Award Best Picture winner on Wednesday and Thursday. Also, &#8220;back by popular demand&#8221; apparently, for three further showings is the Spielberg version of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/west_side_story_2021\">West Side Story<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-cineworlds\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/cinemas\/cheltenham\/069#\/buy-tickets-by-cinema?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2021-10-01&amp;view-mode=list\">The Cineworlds<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new films at The Cineworlds this week look to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/films\/the-bad-guys\/ho00008247#\/buy-tickets-by-film?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2022-03-26&amp;for-movie=ho00008247&amp;view-mode=list\"><em>The Bad Guys<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/films\/ambulance\/ho00008237#\/buy-tickets-by-film?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2022-03-26&amp;for-movie=ho00008237&amp;view-mode=list\"><em>Ambulance<\/em><\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/films\/the-worst-person-in-the-world\/ho00008590#\/buy-tickets-by-film?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2022-03-26&amp;for-movie=ho00008590&amp;view-mode=list\"> <em>The Worst Person in the World<\/em><\/a>, and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/films\/umma\/ho00008569#\/buy-tickets-by-film?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2022-03-26&amp;for-movie=ho00008569&amp;view-mode=list\">Umma<\/a>.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The Bad Guys<\/em> is a <em>DreamWorks<\/em> animated feature about a gang of animal outlaws, headed by a pickpocket wolf voiced by Sam Rockwell. <em>Ambulance<\/em> is a Michael Bay action-heist farrago starring Jake Gyllenhaal, who must need the money. <em>The Worst Person in the World<\/em> is a romantic comedy-drama by Joachim Trier about a young woman in Oslo with a rackety lifestyle. Good to see a foreign language film in the multiplexes, although Gloucester doesn&#8217;t get it. <em>Umma<\/em> is some sort of horror about a Korean woman (Sandra Oh) living on a farm in America, who imports the body of her mother, only to find it interfering with her equilibrium in some supposedly spooky way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carrying on from last week are<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/films\/the-phantom-of-the-open\/ho00008115#\/buy-tickets-by-film?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2022-03-26&amp;for-movie=ho00008115&amp;view-mode=list\">The Phantom of the Open<\/a><\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cineworld.co.uk\/films\/the-nan-movie\/ho00007575#\/buy-tickets-by-film?in-cinema=069&amp;at=2022-03-26&amp;for-movie=ho00007575&amp;view-mode=list\"><em>The Nan Movie<\/em><\/a>. Last week I was predictably rude about <em>The Nan Movie <\/em>without even seeing it. Since then I have discovered that the film has no director credit, something explored in an entertaining article in a website called <a href=\"https:\/\/bleedingcool.com\/movies\/gossip-catherine-tate-the-nan-movie-josie-rourke-cut\/\">Bleeding Cool<\/a>. Anyone interested in the damage being done to the dying art of cinema  by ignorant financiers need look no further. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-tivoli\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tivolicinemas.com\/whats-on\">The Tivoli<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Tivoli has <em>Ambulance<\/em>, plus last week&#8217;s stuff. Yawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-sherborne\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sherbornecinema.co.uk\/programme\">The Sherborne<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sherborne has <em>Sing 2<\/em>, <em>Uncharted<\/em>, <em>The Duke<\/em> and <em>Batman<\/em> at various points during the week. Then on Friday it has <em>The Bad Guys<\/em>, <em>Cyrano<\/em>, and a one-off screening of <a href=\"https:\/\/redcliffefilms.co.uk\/hannah-more-film-production\/\"><em>Hannah More<\/em><\/a>, a film made by some Bristol filmmakers about one of that city&#8217;s heroines, an 18th century writer, social reformer and campaigner against the slave trade. The opening caption of the trailer tells us young Hannah is in Fishponds, my birthplace.
